Our Youth, Our Future Foundation
Our Youth, Our Future Foundation, formerly identified as Youth Lives Matter, was founded in August 2020. In response to the significant challenges of that year, marked by escalating COVID-19 cases, instances of police brutality, and gun violence, Jalen and Jasmine were compelled to take action. Recognizing the prevailing anguish, we are committed to fostering humility, compassion, and unity within our youth and community. Establishing such a nurturing environment is pivotal in facilitating the success of our youth, who are the architects of our collective future. It is our unwavering aim to provide them with the necessary support and resources.

Meet the founders
My name is Jasmine Lynch, My humble beginnings came from Lansing, MI. Starting YLM helped me see where I needed support as a youth and how I can help be that support for others in the community. I hope to soon be able to give out scholarships for people who want to go to school or start a business, I think it’s important just to help each other come up.
I am Jalen Anderson. Currently 30 and a Ferris state Grad, Lansing Native. I choose to do YLM, because it gives me a chance to give back to my community. Gives the youth a chance to have a mentor and a reason to look forward to their future.
